Community and Social Responsibility

Qbit proudly offers free IT services to local charities and schools and sponsors a number of social and sports clubs, and actively fundraise for several charities. Qbit also actively works toward running a more sustainable and socially conscious business.

Free IT Audit

Qbits long history helping the community.

Fabio and Dave, our Directors, have a long history of helping the community. They first met through Eastern Hills Apex Club. Fabio served the community through Apex for 10 years and then went onto Balcatta Bears Baseball Club as a T-Ball coach for 8 years. Dave and Fabio have also got behind the fundraising efforts of David and Mark Whiteman through their charity https://carecuresupport.org/ by entering a car into the MND Drive each year since 2019, with our efforts raising over $20,000 so far.

Qbit took part in Drive for MND for the 4th time and raised much-needed funds for Care Cure Support to help those affected by MND.

We’ve raised $8000 out of our $7500 target, bringing the total funds raised in the event to $30,000. We are already raising for next year.

Social responsibility and sustainability

We have installed solar panels on the roof at both of our Perth offices.
We have purchased 4 Electric cars from MG
Have electric car chargers installed at our Ord Street office thanks to our friends at www.evse.com.au
We have installed led lighting in our offices.
Our staff are educated and actively encouraged to recycle in the various recycling bins provided in our offices.
We have moved to paperless billing and communication with customers and suppliers.
End-of-life computer products are donated where possible to the Men’s Shed Charity, for use in their locations across Perth.

Diversity and inclusion

Qbit has strong workplace ethics and policies around diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The Qbit team is made up of people of various ages, backgrounds, ethnicity, beliefs, sexual orientation, and gender.

We have strict policies in place to ensure that everyone is supported and respected, with zero tolerance for any form of discrimination.

Community associations and networking

Western Suburbs Business Association Qbit is a Diamond Sponsor of the Western Suburbs Business Association and have been involved as a member and or sponsor for the last 7 years. Jamie Duff, one of our BDMs, is the President and has been on the committee for 14 years. We want to support the business community in the Western Suburbs and share Jamie’s and the WSBA’s vision of connecting business. Qbit provides the Cloud Infrastructure, IT Support and Phone Systems for the WSBA so they can support their members.

Facilit8 Jamie Duff, one of our BDMs, noticed a gap in Perth’s Networking space and instead of just sitting back he lead from the front and started Facilit8. Qbit supports businesses from all verticals and Jamie’s vision to provide business owners the opportunity to lift their head and connect, refer, educate and grow their business, was why Qbit jumped at the chance to sponsor small business in Western Australia.
