About the drive
Our simple purpose is to make a beneficial difference to others. Our Long-term aim is to
contribute to a world where MND is no longer 100% terminal, by helping to uncover
what causes MND and eventually finding a cure. In the Short term we will provide
funding to improve the care and support for people living with MND and their families
whilst contributing to research to find a cure.
100% of the funds we raise goes towards the cause. More information can be found on
our website by using the QR code below.
Participants may use any roadworthy vehicle capable of completing approximately
1,000km at 100km/h without requiring Roadside Assistance. The event commences on
Friday, 23rd of October 2026, with breakfast at Softball WA, followed by an itinerary that
includes stops for morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea at notable locations
throughout regional Western Australia en route to the evening destination.
Activities during the journey include a treasure hunt, where teams capture photographs
featuring their members alongside people, landmarks, or artifacts. These are loaded
into an app creating a live leader board. Teams engage in light-hearted competition,
aiming to secure the trophy awarded at the conclusion of the drive.
You stay overnight in country WA, then you do the same thing again on Saturday, all
while heading to the mystery destination for our evening fancy dress up party.
On Sunday morning, awards are presented at breakfast to honour achievements and
celebrate the total funds raised that year. Participants then travel home independently.
If you join the drive, cost are about $450 per person to register, and we would like your
team goal to be $3,000 raised of which 100% goes towards the cause. Teams are usually
2 to 4 people.
There will be a Drive4MND information evening held at Hillarys Yacht Club on the 17th of
June at 6pm.
