Established in 2006, Qbit is a progressive and proactive Information Technology company and Managed Services provider that offers IT Support products and services to Western Australian businesses. Qbit has grown from a team of two to over 50 staff over the past twenty years and continues to experience strong business growth. This growth has come almost exclusively from word of mouth referrals from our clients. Qbit understands that cyber security is a major risk for business. We align our managed services with SMB1001, the Australian cyber security standard written specifically for small and medium businesses. Unlike overseas frameworks, SMB1001 is a certification you can actually hold and show to clients, insurers and tender panels, with five graded levels — Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond — so you can start where you are and work up.
Take a Qbit Managed Services agreement as presented and your business will meet the requirements for SMB1001 Silver. The controls are built into the agreement rather than sold as an add-on, so the security work happens as part of your monthly service. If you need Gold or above for a contract or an insurer, your Account Manager will map out what else is required and build it into your IT Management Plan.
