As we put the finishing touches on the centre’s technology infrastructure, we’re excited to share the story of how we helped the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) take a major step in expanding medical care to regional communities.

When the RFDS set out to establish their very first medical centre in Western Australia, they needed a technology partner who could take care of everything from network design to on-site security. Qbit was thrilled to be invited to submit a proposal for this landmark project – and even more delighted to be awarded the tender.

Our team worked closely with the RFDS to understand their vision and the unique challenges of delivering robust healthcare solutions in a regional setting. The result is a comprehensive, future-ready setup designed not only for the Goldfields Health Centre but also as a blueprint for future RFDS medical centres across WA.

From the ground up, Qbit has delivered a full spectrum of services required to get the Goldfields Health Centre up and running:

Hosted Server Environment: We provided a flexible, scalable hosting solution designed to streamline setup for this and future RFDS medical centres.

On-Site Hardware: All workstation computers, monitors, modems, firewalls, routers, printers and photocopiers and WiFi infrastructure were supplied and configured by our expert team. The result is a fast, secure, and reliable technology environment tailored to the needs of medical professionals working in Kalgoorlie.

Physical Security: Qbit installed and configured a suite of security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, panic buttons, and door access controllers. These measures ensure the safety of staff and patients, giving everyone peace of mind.
