Phase 1 – Administration
Our projects team initiated the administrative tasks, ensuring seamless internal coordination. We conducted an internal handover meeting followed by a project kick-off meeting with the client to establish clear communication and project objectives.
Phase 2 – Technical Configuration
NBN Connection:
We supplied and set up a robust NBN connection to ensure reliable internet access with a backup internet connection.
Install a new server into the medical centre
A new server was installed in the rack and configured to support the centre’s IT needs. We setup all the users accounts and permissions on the network.
Qbit then installed Best Practice medical software on the server and deployed it out to all the new workstations that we had provided.
Disaster Recovery Solution ensured the safety of the data coping it off site to a data centre in Melbourne and Sydney. It also gave Qbit the ability to recover quickly from a disaster like a Cyber Event or hardware failure.
Workstation Setup
Domain Joining: All workstations were joined to the domain for centralised management.
Printer Setup: Printers were installed and configured. Allowing doctors to print scrips and other documents.
M365 Accounts: Microsoft 365 accounts were created, and Office was installed on all machines.
Medical Software Installation: Best Practice Medical software was installed on all relevant workstations.
Reception Setup
Qbit supplied photocopier and setup all the reception computers including faxing and desk phones.
Phone System Setup
Qbit allocated phone numbers to the practice and setup a hosted 3cx phone system, we setup call flow routing, after hours messages, messages on hold and reception desk phones.
Cyber Security
Qbit setup a full set of Cyber Security measures ensuring that this medical centre was not easy target.
Documentation
Comprehensive documentation was created for the site, detailing the infrastructure setup and configuration for future reference and maintenance.
Outcomes
The successful completion of this project saw the seamless integration of all systems, from internet connectivity to servers, PCs, printers, and the phone system. The new medical centre now boasts a robust IT infrastructure that supports its critical operations and ensures high availability and security.
