I was interested in ear bone headsets and wanted to know more about their comfort and sound quality. Shokz sent me a unit to test, which I have been using for a week. I frequently join Teams meetings, utilize our 3cx phone system, or take mobile calls, and the Shokz headset handled switching between these seamlessly.
The first thing that impressed me was the outstanding sound quality; conversations were crystal clear, and the headphones stayed comfortable without causing any ear discomfort even after long periods. The microphone’s noise cancellation worked extremely well. Even though someone was using a hammer drill in the next office, Benn, on a Teams call with me, didn’t hear a thing.
When I use ear buds, I often feel it’s rude to talk to others, even if the music is paused. This isn’t an issue with these headsets. Plus, I can still hear my surroundings, which decreases the risk of accidents while biking.
They are so comfortable that I could wear them all day without any discomfort. I never felt the urge to remove them when conversing with people.
The battery life is impressive, lasting two full 8-hour days, and just 5 minutes of charging provides 60 minutes of talk time. Charging is also easy with a magnetic cable.
